This peaceful community, which has views of Staffin Bay and Staffin Island, has something for everyone, including two restaurants, two stores, a part-time Post Office, the Staffin Slipway for sailors, the only sandy beach in the north of Skye, and a variety of coastal and interior walking paths. The major town on Skye, Portree, is located 17 miles down the coast, and from there, it is simple to travel throughout the entire island. An ideal mix of home comforts in a private and secluded area, just what we were after. Lots of space for your dog to stretch its legs , if you have a small breed there are some areas of the fence where an escape may be possible but for ours it was fine. The night sky was one of the highlights for us . The owner is friendly and always on hand to answer questions or sort out any niggles. We loved our stay , 10/10, thank you !

Lots of hot water in the property and great central heating. beds were lovely and soft. WIFI was great. Would benefit from instructions for the oven and washing machine. More oven trays would help with cooking. Some of the ceramic ovenware needs replacing as badly cracked and may split. would be good to have a sieve or colander in the kitchen. The towels were very small. We kept our dogs on leads in the garden as there were lots of holes that they could escape through.

The property is very remote and as such it would have been nice to be able to put the burner on, on the first night, until guests are able to the buy some logs and kindling the next day.
