The flat was ideally placed for exploring both Skye and the Highlands. The village has all basic amenities, Kyle of Lochalsh and, slightly further away, Loch Carron,have more extensive shops. The high step on the way to the bathroom, and the very deep bath without any handholds, were both quite hazardous. We left a torch on all night by the step. And I had to be helped out of the bath after showering, as I couldn't reach the floor unsupported. I am 5'2.5"/189cm tall.During our visit the oven did not work, the fan came on, but no heat. I alerted the caretaker, but as it was not a problem for us, I did not request immediate repair.

Beautiful property- fantastic location and well presented with everything you needed.Local amenities are brilliant for food, drink and shopping.Settee not the most comfortable and could hear upstairs, but not annoyingly so.

Hirta, was lovely but the sofa was uncomfortable and the noise from upstairs was unbearable at times, we understood it was kids but I’m sure the parents could have stopped them from jumping off furniture and banging about it did make the holiday less calming and quiet. The flat was nice and had everything that we needed and Sophia was brillant at keeping us updated with information.Overall Plockton is beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking at times. Just a shame about noise
