Aisir Croft is a charming, rustic cottage set in a truly stunning and remote location, perfect for those seeking peace, natural beauty, and a break from the world. Guests consistently praise the breathtaking views, proximity to beautiful beaches, and the cosy, well-equipped atmosphere. The secure garden is ideal for dogs and children. While some mention minor cleanliness and maintenance issues, and a few found the heating system quirky, the majority found the cottage comfortable and the host helpful. This property offers a memorable escape for nature lovers and those looking to unwind in a tranquil setting.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, but several reviews mention issues such as unwashed dishes, a mouldy shower mat, crumbs in cupboards, and some areas needing a deeper clean. These concerns were not universal but were noted by a minority of guests.

The location is widely celebrated as outstanding, with guests highlighting the breathtaking views, proximity to Oldshoremore beach, and the peaceful, remote setting. The area is described as paradise and perfect for exploring the natural beauty of Sutherland.

The majority of guests found the cottage cosy, warm, and comfortable, especially appreciating the wood-burning stove and secure garden. A few guests noted issues with the heating system and one found the bed uncomfortable, but overall comfort was rated positively.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, with a good kitchen, WiFi, and useful information provided. Some guests noted missing or broken items (e.g., no iron, no hairdryer, limited cookware), and the heating system was described as quirky but functional. The secure garden and boot room were appreciated.

The host is frequently described as helpful and responsive, and some guests mentioned complimentary coffee pods. However, a few noted the absence of a promised welcome pack. Please note that gifts or extras, if mentioned, are not guaranteed for all stays.

This place is remote; think remote and then think a bit more remote....and that is the whole point, because it is very remote and outrageously beautiful. Probably the most peaceful place we've ever been. You have to appreciate that this is an old croft with over 100 years of history behind it, it is clean and comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The surrounding area is absolutely spectacular, I just can't describe its beauty.....many remote and unpopulated beaches nearby to explore.Good base from which to have a drive up to Durness, Balnakeil and Smoo.Definitely also recommend some goodies from Highland Charcuterie, which is very close by.We had an awesome week :)

Arrived after a 7hr drive, overall the presentation of the croft was thst it was very tired and dated. The towels that were in the upstairs doeble room had fresh brown stains. The bed was like lying on concrete and shook like a north sea ferry in a storm with every turn or movement. The cottage was generally dirty, cupboards contained crumbs and the bin under the sink had not been cleaned in months. The shower tray was dirty with hair and debris noted on the drain catcher. The windows needed a good clean and there was fogging of the double glazing layer impeding the ability to look out at the view. The only heating the huge monstrosity of a wood burner that you have to light to get the radiators warm but no thermostat. My husband is 6ft 3inch and when he sat in the 2 seater sofa his legs met that burner. This cottage sleeps 6 but that living area is so small that there is no way 6 adults could eat or sit comfortably. We have stayed in less expensive but way much nicer dog friendly cottages. I did message Llyall the owner to report this on the day we arrived and i sent photos. Sadly, he seemed to just not have a care in the world at all citing thst his cleaners who he pays a lot of money too have just been too busy to deep clean...my reply, any basic clean is needed for customer handover day. Buyer beware thats all i can say! We will not rebook here it was such a disapointment.
