Throughout the village you can spot 131 model wildcats which are hidden in different places, you will also find Clan MacPherson Museum in the centre of the village. Highland Folk Park which spans 80 acres is an impressive park which brings to life the domestic and working conditions of earlier Highland people, it has free admission with donations encouraged. Dalwhinnie Whisky Distillery where visitors can enjoy whisky tasting tours is the highest in Scotland and is only a few miles away. Newtonmore activities include tennis courts, bowling green, Badenoch Angling Association (day and weekly permits) for River Spey and loch fishing, pony trekking, quad bike tours and cycling trails. Newtonmore has many shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and makes a perfect base to visit the Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark Adventure Centre, Loch Ness and the beautiful West Coast.
