About this property

Situated in the atmospheric and quirky area of Fishertown, this charming semi-detached stone cottage is ideally situated within easy walking distance of both a sandy beach and local services. Nicely presented throughout with lots of space this cottage is ideal for a family group or group of friends who want to spend time together in this very popular coastal area of the Highlands. With roses growing around the front door the cottage has three lovely bedrooms,

a king-size double bedroom on the first floor which leads to a single room. The spacious sitting/dining room has a welcoming wood burning stove, whilst both the kitchen and bathroom are smartly designed and modern. The garden to the front has an array of pretty plants and bushes making it a fabulous place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a quiet read. Just a minute or two from the front door and you can be on Nairn's famous golden sandy beach which stretches for miles. Nairn has much to offer visitors and the location of the town on the Moray Firth coast means that visitors can venture along the coastal route visiting the many pretty villages along the way and perhaps include a boat trip out onto the clear blue waters for a spot of dolphin watching. Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield and even the Malt Whisky Trail are all in close proximity and this lovely cottage will certainly ensure a wonderful holiday. EPC Rating: Band D

Nairn is an attractive and lively seaside town dating back to Victorian times. It has long been a popular holiday destination and is just 16 miles from the town of Inverness. Nairn even lays claim to being one of the driest and sunniest places in the country! The town offers some of the top beaches in Scotland and cleanest bathing waters in Britain. Also, one of the only two dolphin colonies in the UK is based in the Moray Firth. Nairn is steeped in history and is closely linked with the Battle of Culloden, whilst nearby Fort George is Europe’s best preserved 18th century military fortification.

Ideally situated to enjoy the stunningly beautiful Moray Firth coastline it was also positioned to enjoy the peaceful location of Fishertown. The welcome pack was just a small part of Paul’s consideration for his guests, not intrusive but ensuring the comfort of our stay. While we weren’t able to use the garden area because of the time of year, it appeared to us to be perfect for relaxing at any time. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday. Teresa March 2024

The cottage is well equipped and very homely. The log burner in the sitting room was a real plus as Nairn was pretty chilly in mid November! The location is fantastic and literally only two minutes walk to the beach. We had some great meals out at Ozzy's restaurant (recommend by the owners). We didn't have a car with us and found plenty to do and see, walking and taking public transport from the cottage. Very happy to recommend it. Polly and Lindsay

Attentive hosts - communicated before and during stay as needed - even shared a bottle of red with us. Hosts provided insight into activities we might consider including hooking us up with eBike rental (GreenHive). Cottage was perfect - quiet, comfortable, and practical. Didn't want to leave and would definitely go back!
