About this property
Explore the Scottish Highlands from this beautiful coastal retreat, just 500 metres from Nairn’s award winning beach, where you might catch a glimpse of the famous bottlenose dolphins, swimming up the Moray Firth. An ever-popular seaside resort, Nairn boasts a lovely harbour, a championship golf course, inviting guests to tee off, and a large stretch of sandy shore. Dolphin Cottage makes an excellent base to visit the Highlands capital, Inverness (17 miles), Culloden Battlefield and visitors' centre (12 miles), the historic Fort George (9 miles) and the infamous Loch Ness (25 miles). Brodie and Cawdor castles can also be reached within 7 miles of the cottage. Visit the Moray Malt Whisky trail or enjoy a range of water sports, wildlife watching or mountain biking.
Entry to this stone built cottage is via a lane welcoming you with a charming sign hanging outside. You enter straight into a bright and spacious kitchen, with modern appliances. A well equipped utility room and shower room lead off the kitchen. Up two steps you enter a tasteful large lounge/diner with a traditional stone hearth, housing a wood burner. A staircase leads up to a landing, off which are two double bedrooms, both with sea views and a bathroom.
Make the most of the cottages' sunny enclosed courtyard, where you can relax with a morning coffee or a good book. Parking is available on the nearby street.
