Beautiful well equipped cottage in a beautiful rural location. Skye is beautiful at this time of year and the cottage had great views. We’ve stopped in a few cottages in the area and further a field (this is our 5th visit to Skye) and Lochview is great for what we needed. We woke up the first morning to stag out the front. The weather changed towards the end of the holiday but again the view from the bedrooms made it better. Thank you to Kirsten and Ali for letting us stay in your beautiful holiday home and the email prior to arrival helped with location and getting to the cottage.

The cottage is well-equipped and quite spacious for 4 people. It was warm and homely. The location is quite remote, which is fine if you want quiet and solitude. However, the surrounding countryside lacks the beauty of some other parts of Skye. It is often an hour away by car to some of the more scenic areas on the east coast ((Quiraing, Storr) or to the south of the Island (Cuillins).

We had a fantastic time. The cottage looked out over the area where my husbands family originated. Kirsten was able to help us identify where various families had lived and that helped us to envisage family links. The view is spectacular, the cottage was lovely and cosy.I’d thoroughly recommend for a stress free break, even when the weather turns, as it did with the advent of Storm Amy!! We were still cozy though👍
