Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 6 steps to the garden, alternative sloped access available. The unfenced shoreline is 20 yards away.. Loch Shore Cottage is detached and sits on the shores of Loch Long with outstanding views over the loch. You will truly love the loch side location and enjoy watching the local otters, amazing seabirds and the wonderful landscape from the comfort of your garden. With two cosy living rooms both with a wonderful multi-fuel burner, and a sun room with dining table and cane furniture, to make the most of the views.
Only a few minutes’ walk from the historic Eilean Donan Castle which is illuminated at night and can be seen from the comfort of Loch Shore Cottage. This is an excellent base to tour the surrounding area and is only a short drive to Glenelg, Plockton and the Isle of Skye over the Beallach na Ba to Applecross.
There are many historic sites to visit, including the ruins of Glenelg Brochs, the site of the battle of Shiel, Attadele Gardens, Kylerhea Otter Hide, boat trips and pony trekking. There is fishing as well as excellent hill walking and wildlife to explore for the outdoor enthusiast and so much more, and the area offers peace and solitude for the ‘get away from it all experience’. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Excellent cottage in outstanding location.Slightly compromised by not having sufficient hanging space for clothes ( ie none in double bedroom!) Also the description should make clear the limited headroom upstairs. The twin beds are only really suitable for children.The views are spectacular from all vantage points, the only thing missing was a visiting otter!!

The accommodation is in a lovely setting but there is room for improvement. For example, the property is in need of some modernisation. The conservatory is old and the windows are rotting. It had an unpleasant "foisty" smell so we were unable to eat at a table as this is the only room with a dining table. The property was also cold with the heating only coming on briefly each day and we were unable to figure out to operate the heating manually. The house is in need of a thorough clean, there was a lot of dust and cobwebs. There were no extra liners for the waste paper bins or the bathroom bin. There are 2 sitting rooms which are well stocked with books and games etc, but no coffee tables which made things difficult. Because of these issues we personally wouldn't stay here again but if these issues were addressed I am sure it would get much better reviews.

Set in a quiet setting with beautiful views. The house had everything you could need and was comfortable. A mix of decor retaining old and some modern. The conservatory had the views but was a little tired and not as clean as the rest of the house.Enjoyed our stay but a tad on the expensive side.
