Parking for 2 cars. No smoking. NB: Loch frontage.. Island Bay View is a detached bungalow on the shores of Loch Long, furnished and equipped to a very good standard. Set in one of the most spectacular glens on the west coast of Scotland, the mountain and loch views are superb. It offers peace and solitude for a ‘get away from it all holiday experience’, excellent hill walking (Falls of Glomach nearby) and wildlife to explore for the outdoor enthusiast. Watch otters feed and play on the shoreline around the property with access to the bay via your own private track. Only a short drive to Eilean Donan Castle, Isle of Skye, Glenelg, Plockton, Lochcarron and Applecross. Visit historic sites like the Glenelg Brochs and Battle of Glenshiel, or nearby Attadale Gardens. Shop and pub 3 miles.

A beautiful cottage set in fantastic surroundings overlooking the lovely loch long.The beautiful eilean donan castle is nearby but go early as it gets extremely busy, and the town of Kyle of lochalsh is nearby for groceries when needed. We headed to Plockten and took a boat ride to see the harbour seals. We also went to Skye, again a fantastic place but go early as places to park get full very quickly. We loved our time there and will hopefully go back sometime soon.

This is a comfortable house in an outstanding location, yes there are a few elements that could do with an upgrade/update but to be honest they don't really matter if you are there for only a week and given the location you shouldn't be spending a lot of time at the house anyway. We have two young children and the garden was ideal for them to play in. We saw otters in the loch, lots of sea birds and smaller birds visiting the bird feeder. (Bring your binoculars). The owner of the cottage is lovely and ensured we had everything we needed. We've stayed in many cottages in and around Skye and the west coast and would stay here again.

If you want peace and quiet, this property is for you.The view is great ,the house is well equipped cosy and very clean.There are so many birds that visit the feeders.We didn't see an otter though.We would book again it's a lovely property in a great position.
