This Highland cottage is set in the small hamlet of Ratagan, which is nine miles from the pretty villages of Dornie, with its famous Eilean Donan Castle and Glenelg with ferry crossings to the Isle of Skye. Dornie and Glenelg both offer shops and lively pubs, plus for enhanced services, the bigger village of Kyle of Lochalsh is a short drive away and from there you can cross the bridge to the Isle of Skye. The former fishing village of Dornie in the West Highlands offers a shop, two pubs and the famous Eilean Donan Castle. Eilean Donan Castle has a visitors centre and restaurant, as well as wonderful views of the Loch. Kyle of Lochalsh, known as the gateway to the Isle of Skye is close by and has a range of shops, hotels and restaurants, as well as a busy harbour.
