We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this lodging, The Bluegrass Retreat. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax after a glorious day exploring Inverness and the extensive surrounding areas with this spacious retreat of three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Not only was it well appointed and super clean, with a washer/drier combo, but it was in a perfect area. The River Ness is literally in the back yard and one of our favorite things to do was to take the River Walk to the town area. It was not too far, but far enough to truly enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are small islands, one behind the lodgings, and you can walk amongst these islands under the tremendous tree coverage on your way to town. Outstanding! Inverness is a relatively quiet community and very safe. We would walk home in full dark, 9:00 PM, with no issues or concerns. Inverness, and this lodging, was an ideal location as a retreat to take day trips and experience all that the Highlands have to offer. Cullodden Battlefield, Clara Cairns, Whisky tours and more are in the general surrounding areas and so much more as an easy day trip. Each night we came back to our warm, clean and comfortable retreat. Just what we needed after a long day. We highly recommend.
