The cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxed break or a fun-filled trip, boasting views of Ben Nevis and plenty of delightful walks in the immediate area. On arrival at the property, off-road parking makes unloading your car simple, and a spacious entrance hall greets you, with a handy washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. The property is conveniently located amongst tremendous views, making it a haven for walkers; just a short walk away is Neptune's Staircase, built by Thomas Telford and the longest staircase lock along the Caledonian Canal and in Britain. History enthusiasts can make their way to Treasures of the Earth, a museum with gemstones, crystals and fossils sure to entertain the keenest of amateur archaeologists, or head towards the 13th-century ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle. If you need a break from cooking, the Moorings Hotel and Bistro offers a lovely meal, with great views of Neptunes Staircase and a backdrop of Ben Nevis, but for a real special treat for your nearest and dearest visit and take in the splendour of Inverlochy Castle Hotel, where you can also discover the picture-perfect gardens. Cyclists will not be left short for routes on this trip; be sure to make your way outside of the village by bike or on foot to experience magnificent views of Ben Nevis and an array of stunning terrains at Aonach Mor, Nevis Range. Further afield are the peaks and glens of the picturesque area of Glen Coe, a wonderful day out, no matter your interests, where you can eat, drink, walk, cycle, sea kayak and even ski! Make memories that will last a lifetime with a holiday at Taorbeag at Taormina. EPC Rating: Band E

Caol, pronounced "cool," is a picturesque lochside town nestled between Fort William and the Gulvain mountain range. The Caledonian Canal, which runs through the village's north-west corner and provides an easy access to adjacent sights such as Caol Beach, Neptune's Staircase, and Old Inverlochy Castle, is famed for its magnificent vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges. There are two takeaways, Sammy's Fish & Chip Shop and The Golden River Takeaway, as well as The Lochy, a traditional bar and restaurant, and a neighbouring convenience shop where you can fill up on basics. The popular town of Fort William is within easy driving distance of the town, and it is here that you will find additional attractions and outdoor activities such as the famed Ben Nevis, Steall Waterfall, and a plethora of museums and visitor centres.

Great views of the nevis range from the comfort of the living room. Would reccomend a small family of 4.

  • Mark

Warm and comfortable and very clean and quiet. Couldn’t fault the property at all. The upside down setup maximises the Ben Nevis views and means a cooler night’s sleep. Have already recommended it to friends.
