The communication with the owner was very good. The welcome pack was very generous. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Neptuneâs staircase is only metres away from the house so plenty to see when the boats are going through the locks. The Harry Potter train (the Jacobite) can be heard every day. If you want to see the train it passes through Banavie station which is a short walk down the towpath. We would be glad to return to Laxdale.
