If you're after a remote get away in a beautifully wild location, then this lodge is the perfect base. Very cosy and welcoming with great views right on your doorstep or from the balcony too. Lots of good walks locally and of course the whole of Assynt a short drive away. Would definitely return one day and be delighted to stay here again.

The cottage isn’t completely faultless, there are a couple of issues if one were being a little pedantic. The shower is over the bath and you have to transport food upstairs to the dining area and that could be somewhat tricky. However these are very minor.It’s clean and tidy with comfortable beds and sofas. The cottage contains everything that you would need for a home from home. Upstairs with an open dinning and living area. This opens at one end to a fabulous balcony. It’s utterly stunning. At the other end the windows give you views to the wonderful scenery that surrounds this fantastic cottage.The biggest selling point is the local area. I’d give it 10 out of 5! You do have the feeling of being in a very remote part of Scotland, it’s fabulous, but a very short drive takes you to wonderful Lochinver with shops, a local store for foodstuffs and gift stores etc. There are restaurants and bars. Everything you could wish for to enjoy a fabulous holiday and with Suilven as a backdrop, it’s highly recommended. .
