Enjoying sea views to the west up the Firth and a vantage point over the quaint station where steam engines often chuff through on special services to the Far North of Scotland.  You will also see a mural on the walls of the platform buildings, which celebrates Invergordon’s world war history.  The mural is one of 17 that make up the "Invergordon off the wall" trail that celebrates local history in a striking way.  It’s a popular tourist attraction and one you are sure to enjoy when you visit. 

Invergordon is a main port for visiting cruise ships to the Highlands.  You’ll go to bed one evening and wake up the next, open the blinds and towering over the town will be a gigantic cruise ship.  It’s a real spectacle.  The town though hasn’t always been associated with tourism, it was a Royal Navy base through the world wars and up until 1956.  The firth around Invergordon has been often described . . .
