A cosy log cabin in an exceptionally private and peaceful location, in the village of Insh close to the village of Kincraig. With far-reaching views over pretty open countryside to the hills beyond, for holidaymakers who want a really peaceful break away from all the stresses and strains then this is for you! This ground floor cabin is warm and well-equipped with a homely open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area together with doors leading outside. There are two bedrooms, one which is a double and the other has adult bunks, together with a family bathroom. Outside, there is a large balcony, complete with a picnic bench and what a fabulous spot for a morning coffee or evening meal. A private track gives access down to the cabin which is set away from the road and the only neighbours in sight are the sheep and the only noise comes from the birds! The area is indeed rich in wildlife and the Loch Garten Osprey Centre is very close by and provides fantastic views of the ospreys in their nest via a CCTV camera. There are also excellent walks in the area, through the ancient Caledonian pine forest where you can easily spot red squirrels and grouse in the early spring. On the banks of nearby Loch Insh is a highly regarded watersports centre where a range of watersports are on offer including sail and paddle sports, raft building and fishing and rowing on the loch. Here there is a lovely restaurant and guests can enjoy good food whilst soaking up the views. This location is really in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and is an area of outstanding natural beauty with lots to do and see. For walkers, climbers, wildlife spotters and watersports enthusiast, it’s all here and more. This welcoming peaceful log cabin will simply be the icing on the cake of your fabulous holiday.

Insh is an attractive Highland village midway between Kingussie and Aviemore, which is the hub of the skiing industry in Britain. Close to Loch Insh and Glenfeshie, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and with the Cairngorm Mountains as a backdrop, Kincraig offers an ideal Highland base.
