Guests say

17a Husabost on the Isle of Skye is highly praised for its stunning views, peaceful and remote location, and exceptionally well-equipped, cosy interior. Guests consistently mention the spotless cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and excellent communication from the hosts. The cottage is ideal for those seeking relaxation and a scenic escape, with thoughtful touches such as a wood-burning stove and a well-stocked kitchen. While a few guests noted the absence of a welcome pack and minor issues with heating and bin labelling, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotlessly clean and well maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.

The location is repeatedly described as outstanding, remote, peaceful, and offering breathtaking views from every window. Guests appreciate the tranquillity and scenery.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, cosy, and warm, with comfortable beds and seating. One minor mention of a bed being too soft, but otherwise highly praised.

The cottage is described as extremely well equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen, wood-burning stove, and good amenities. Minor suggestions include clearer bin labelling, a glove for the fire, and a coffee machine compatible with local capsules.

Some guests noted the absence of a welcome pack (such as milk or biscuits), which they had expected at this price point. While wood for the stove was provided and appreciated, gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Fabulous secluded retreat Stylish, modern and well equipped house in stunning location. Owner was super-helpful in giving us lots of local restaurant and cafe recommendations. View from the house looking down Loch Dunvegan is unforgettable, 1 min walk to secluded pebble beach with waterfall. We’d love to return sometime soon.

We had a wonderful holiday at Lochliath. The location has spectacular views, the house was spotlessly clean, and furnished with great equipment, warm and very comfortable.

We were so impressed with the house from the minute we arrived - so warm and welcoming with stunning views. We loved the view to the Cullins from the huge window in the bedroom. We loved the stove with a great supply of logs. We loved the well equipped kitchen for cooking all sorts of meals (several restaurants not open in Feb and driving is essential). Everything we needed for a comfortable holiday was provided. The TV was great for watching Winter Olympics and the WiFi worked perfectly.
