Honeysuckle Cottage is charming, exposed stone, semi-detached cottage situated on the owner’s working farm where there are sheep and cattle. The cottage enjoys stunning views across open countryside and is easily accessible for the renowned North Coast 500. It is very attractively presented throughout, with great attention to detail. The surrounding area provides a wealth of places of interest, including historic Dunrobin Castle, superb unspoilt beaches and wonderful walks direct from the cottage.
The small town of Golspie is 1 mile north of Honeysuckle Cottage. Here there are a good selection of shops, including a supermarket, restaurants, pubs, cafés, an ice cream parlour, sandy beach, harbour and a golf course. There are further facilities at Brora, including a superb sandy beach and championship golf course. You can also take the train from Golspie to the far north (Wick and Thurso) and south to Inverness.
There are a good selection of facilities and sporting opportunities in the area, including fishing, coast and country walking, kayaking and mountain biking. A trip to the nearby Dunrobin Castle, seat of the Dukes of Sutherland, with its gardens modelled on Versailles is a must. Could not fault the cottage we did plenty of walking plus sightseeing. Very handy for nc500 with a wonderful cottage to come back to.

Cottage was lovely and in great location. Close enough to places to visit but quiet if you want to get away from it all.

We had a fabulous time. Never been that far north before. Scenery is beautiful helped by blue skies most of the week. Brilliant position on the A9 which seems to make Scotland function north east of Inverness. The cottage is 100 yards or so from the A9 though we never noticed any noise. Evelyn is a brilliant host. The cottage is sprinkled with homely touches and more than adequately stocked. Only downer was we were hoping to be able to walk into Golspie but there is no path that we could find. We were out all week enjoying different experiences, walks, searching for wildlife, distillery, gym etc
