Guests say

Torr Caladh is a charming cottage in the picturesque Glenfinnan, appreciated for its homely feel, spaciousness, and peaceful setting. Guests have enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the garden, finding it a comfortable 'home from home'. A welcome pack added a thoughtful touch, though its consistency is not guaranteed.

Cleanliness has been a concern with reports of pet hairs, a dirty fridge, unwashed cooking utensils, and grubby doors. However, some guests found the cottage very clean, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

While the reviews praise the cottage's setting, there is insufficient detail to accurately score the location in terms of convenience, accessibility, or proximity to local attractions.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable and homely, with a particularly enjoyable garden. However, issues with dampness and heating control have affected the comfort level for some guests.

Facilities are well-received with a well-equipped kitchen and a generous welcome pack. Nonetheless, maintenance issues like a broken bath panel, weak shower flow, and broken kitchen equipment have detracted from the overall experience.

The provision of a welcome pack has been mentioned positively, suggesting a degree of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned, they should not be expected by future guests.

On initial entry to the property things looked and felt great. Nice touch with the Xmas hamper. However within a day things began to appear which were not right. We reported finding what appeared to be pet hairs on cushions rugs etc. The property was listed as No Pets Allowed, Which the owner resolved immediately. We also reported a hot tap in the bathroom which the whole tap fitting turned when used. All three bedrooms smelled damp! We struggled to get an even temperature in the house as the heating system appeared only to show how to set timers, set on and off etc. But no information on how to set temperature. We found broken kitchen equipment which was reported but not replaced. We found the bath panel broken in several places and noted that this had been mentioned on a previous review but nothing done about it. The shower was very weak with low flow. There was no mention that the plot next to the house was a builing site. When we were cleaning to leave on the last day my son found black mould on the bedroom skirting boards in the room they slept in, which we took a photo of. We did not inspect the other bedrooms as by this time we were quite fed up with the place and ready to go home. If not for these cumulative issues the place would probably okay especially in summer but it's really not good enough in winter especially when small children are staying.
