Lephin Cottage was perfect for us. The location is very peaceful, the tranquillity was just what we wanted. We spent a week on Skye, we went to Portree, the Old Man of Stor, the Fairy Pools, Neist Point Light House and Staffin Bay, but the best days were spent within walking distance of of Lephin Cottage. We walked to White Beach, Black Beach and the Water Mill and also along the River Hamra. The village shop, two doors away, was amazing. The cafe was also very good and just across the road. The cottage had everything we needed for the week, the kitchen is very well equipped. The cottage was very clean. It has a first floor bathroom, plus a ground floor shower room, both were spotlessly clean. There was a place to dry wet muddy boats and an airer for wet clothes or washing. The view across the glen from the lounge is beautiful, we saw deer, buzzards and eagles. To the rear is the croft, again we saw wildlife and also Andy's free range hens.Andy was a great host, available but not intrusive. If you want peace and tranquillity this is the place.
