We stayed here at the end of January 2026 to visit with family in a nearby area. Everything you could want is already there, including eggs, milk and butter. My only advice would be , make sure you get there in daylight. The house sign is small and very easy to miss . But I can't recommend this place enough. It's ideal for relaxing and re-energising. We will definitely be returning. Thank you especially to the house keeper, it was spotlessly clean

Grinills was the perfect house for all our needs and more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. We couldn’t believe the incredible selection of games and books available—it really made the stay special. The house itself is spacious, clean, and very well laid out.The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the signage for the cottage; arriving in the dark, it was quite difficult to identify the property without actually entering the gated garden first. Other than that, a perfect stay!

In the 30 years we’ve been renting cottages in the highlands, Grinills is amongst the very best as far as location, comfort and being a very well equipped home from home.
