Situated in the centre of Rosemarkie, Holmes Cottage is an extended traditional 1860s cottage with off- road parking and a long sheltered garden towards the sea. The comfortable and well equipped cottage is just a few minutes’ walk from the lovely Rosemarkie beach, which extends south west towards Chanonry Point - a great place for watching dolphins.
Holmes Cottage is perfect for a relaxing holiday in the Highlands, and an ideal base for exploring the Black Isle and touring further afield.
In Rosemarkie there is a convenience shop, a local pub and a pleasant bistro on the sea-front. A wider range of shops can be found in Fortrose, only a mile away. Inverness, with its shopping centres, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, bars, cinema and theatre, is about 14 miles away.
Golfers can play at the nearby Fortrose and Rosemarkie links course, as well as many other courses in the area, whilst bird watchers can enjoy the wildlife at Udale Bay. There are pleasant walks to the Fairy Glen waterfall, along the coast and in the countryside. Pony trekking and mountain biking are also available in the locality.
