Right by the water with sea views from almost every room, Braefoot is an absolute gem of a holiday home. Being in Fortrose is an excellent choice as a base for a highland holiday. Coastal yet close to Inverness and the NC500 touring route..

Braefoot Cottage is a charming traditional stone cottage situated in the quaint coastal town of Fortrose. Located on the shore front overlooking the Moray Firth, this lovely highland holiday cottage has spectacular uninterrupted sea views, with access to the beach just 25 metres away. Braefoot is within a short walk of Fortrose town centre with restaurant, pub and local café.
The town is steeped in history with a 13th century cathedral and various other beauty spots. Chanonry Point, not far from Braefoot Cottage, has been on TV many times as being one of the main places on the east coast to see bottlenose dolphins play and feed close to the shore. The Fortrose & Rosemarkie links golf course is just a short walk, also on Chanonry point. The town sits on the south side of the Black Isle, just 15 miles from Inverness and a 10 minute detour off the NC500 route.

The cottage was excellent. Bed very comfortable. Views fabulous! No oven gloves, apron or hand towels provided in the kitchen and only 1 tea towel for a week!Bath towels should have been larger. Disappointed with lack of contact from Karol when I contacted him/her to thank them for the cosy welcome to a warm inviting house.Welcome pack was a few measley mini pots of milk and a packet of shortbread. Could do better!
