Tucked away from the North Coast 500 and near to lovely Dornoch, Fourpenny Studio is a fantastic wee cottage in Skelbo. Enjoying views across surrounding fields and out to sea in the distance, you’re only 10 minutes’ walk from sand and the seashore. You can spend a week here with absolute ease. It’s a place to switch off, unwind and recharge. Skelbo is essentially a hamlet, and it has lovely walks that you’ll have pretty much to yourself. Wander the Fourpenny Woods, explore the Coul Links sand dunes, and stroll the vast Embo Sands, all of this within a mile. It’s a delightful spot and staying at Fourpenny Studio you’re perfectly placed to explore at will. Beyond Skelbo, Dornoch is a few minutes’ drive away, a lovely place with excellent food and drink options, a rich history and many places to visit to understand it, and of course another outstanding beach. It has a rather famous golf course too, Royal Dornoch Golf Course, those inclined better book a tee time in advance. There are other hidden gem golf courses nearby though in Tain, Golspie and Brora. Fourpenny Studio is in fact an outstanding spot to base yourself for a golf holiday.
With the North Coast 500 only a couple of miles away you can easily be off exploring so much of this amazing area. Not only can you swiftly be visiting the coastal villages up the north east coast towards John O’Groats, but you can take advantage of the interior roads across the Northern Highlands to visit the north and west coasts. Everywhere from Fourpenny Studio in the Northern Highlands is within easy day-trip distance. Fourpenny Studio is a great space for a couple to have as a base for a week. Entering the back door you have the lovely galley kitchen with dining area, and to the right a step down into the living room which is in a conservatory. The kingsize double bedroom has a TV and en-suite shower room. Outside the property there is a private area of a shared garden and the Studio side of the garden has a thoughtful bee garden with many wildflowers showing different colours throughout the season. Beach 1 mile.

Loved the annexe we were in. Fantastic point to grt to many different places and onky a stone throw from an amazing walk along side of Loch Fleet to Embo and.nesr Skelbo Forrest. Totally recommend. The owners lovely, very helpful and help make our holiday.

The studio is set in a quiet beautiful location the view's around are outstanding. Local amenities are only a five minute drive away in dornoch if your into walking or exploring the Highlands this is a great place to stay similarly if you just want some r and r .we had a great time here and will definitely be back.
