Known for its unspoilt beaches and wide variety of wildlife and, at certain times of year, the Northern Lights are visible. The location was fantastic for everything me and my partner wanted to do whether it be the northern lights which i got to see which the host was more than happy to help you find even sent me a message to tell me iwill add picture from dunnet head once I know how. i got to try the local distillery at wolfburn it was great. The cottage was fully equipped even down to tinfoil and cling film and olive oil. Very clean and tidy spare linen all in all very good place to stay.

Jan & Alan are excellent hosts who couldn't be more helpful. The cottage is warm and comfortable with lots of attention to detail. It is situated near to bus routes with good services to Thurso, Wick and Inverness. There are lovely walks from the cottage round Dunnet Bay with good birdwatching, even in the snow. A great find!
