I hate having to write this but unfortunately we had a very bad experience which we presume is a one off. On arrival the house smelt damp and musty despite the door& windows having been left open and the heating on. Bed smelt very musty at best and the sheet was marked. Hair on cushions on bed, (pet hair maybe? ) and in the bathroom the cobwebs had been there for some time, certainly longer than a couple of days. Whole place didn't feel clean and not because of the style of decor which suits the cottage. The bannister was loose which was a concern. Take care on drive in to property as the track is very rough and potholes. Such a shame and we left immediately as we couldn't stay.We couldn't reach anyone from cottages.com to help either. I have never had to write such a poor review and hope I don't ever have to again. I would rate it a zero if I could.
