With your own private BBQ hut, you can have a cosy evening cooking up some local produce. This spacious lodge offers fantastic accommodation for couples and families making a journey to the stunning north coast of Caithness. For those who enjoy long walks, you have the popular Dunnet Forest only 10 miles away, with plenty of paths, a mountain bike trail, and a horse trail. The world renowned Old Pulteney Whisky Distillery in the royal burgh of Wick is Scotland s most northerly whisky distillery. You can visit the shop and taste the maritime malt whisky and go on a tour. Lyth Arts Centre is only 1 mile away and, from March to September, offers a program of live performances that can be enjoyed: from dance and theatre to jazz and classical music with a public cafe and bar too. Climb the steps to the raised wrap around patio decking, access the lodge via a glass entrance door and head into the wonderful stylish open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax with a book on the comfortable sofa (which turns into a sofa bed) or you can kick back and watch a movie there on the TV and a DVD player. The light floods through the windows of the south facing property offering beautiful countryside views. The dining area consists of a table for four people. The kitchen itself is well equipped yet compact and contains everything you could need during your stay. The king size bedroom is integrated into the open plan living area which has been tastefully furnished and decorated. The addition of a separate twin room is great for providing an alternative sleeping arrangement. The shower room completes the property. Outside, the decked garden area contains garden furniture so you can have your morning coffee whilst enjoying the fresh morning air with the farm animals for company. Two pet sheep called Chico and Sylvie live close to the lodge; they are very friendly and love to say hello. The very spacious BBQ hut for your own private use is located adjacent to the lodge. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin. 1 shower room with shower cubicle & WC. Electric oven, 2 ring electric hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment. Welcome pack provided. Cot and highchair available on request. TV with DVD. Private decked area. Private BBQ hut with a starter pack of charcoal provided. Private parking next to lodge for up to 3 cars. 10 miles to shops, 6 miles to restaurants and pub. Sleeps 4 2 (sofa bed suitable for 2 children or 1 adult).
