Snaptrip says

Loneacre in Wick is a well-maintained and spacious cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and the owners' warm hospitality. Guests enjoyed the peaceful farm setting, the cosy wood burner, and the thoughtful touches like homemade treats and fresh eggs. While some noted the lack of internet and mobile signal, the property serves as a great base for exploring the north-east highlands.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage received high praise for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'very clean' and well-maintained, indicating meticulous upkeep by the owners.

The location is appreciated for its quietness and suitability as a base for exploring the highlands. However, the proximity to a working quarry, not mentioned in the property information, has been a concern for some guests.

Guests found the cottage comfortable and nicely decorated, with a multi-fuel stove adding to the cosy atmosphere. The presence of farm animals like hens and ducks was also a highlight for some.

The property is equipped with a well-appointed kitchen and necessary amenities. However, the lack of internet and only adequate mobile data reception slightly affects the score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident from the homemade gingerbread, marmalade, and fresh eggs provided to some guests. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Property is nice but is right next to a working quarry and this isn’t mentioned in the property information.

We got the cottage as a last minute booking, for which we paid a discounted price. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with pretty much anything we needed for the stay (it doesn't have wi-fi, which we didn't need, although we did use some mobile data, which was not great reception, but adequate). The property is in easy reach of Wick and Thurso, and all the beautiful and interesting places around. The property owners were extremely welcoming and helpful with tips for where to visit, eating out, etc.And great to see the local curlews and oystercatchers sitting on the garden fence!
