Boat of Garten is known as the Osprey Village as it is close to the rspb Osprey Centre where you can see these fascinating birds nesting and hunting over the local lochs. For outdoor lovers, this area is simply paradise with the Speyside Way passing close to the cottage and two golf courses just a few minutes’ drive away. Aviemore is also very close by and offers a wide choice of outdoor pursuits along with an array of shops restaurants and plenty to do. Osprey cottage is a detached property and a rare find for families or friends seeking a fantastic base in which to explore this part of Scotland, littered with rugged landscapes, an abundance of wildlife and plenty of outdoor attractions. The cottage is made up of a well equipped kitchen and spacious lounge with dining area. There are five bedrooms, three twin rooms downstairs, one with an en-suite. A double bedroom upstairs with a further twin room with an en-suite. A wet room and disabled toilet are located downstairs with the main bathroom and toilet being upstairs.

This is our 3rd stay at Osprey Cottage. We love the house & the location it is perfect for our yearly family get together. However we noted some things that were in need of improvement. The internet is in need of upgrading. Only one side of the toaster works. The lid of the kettle is broken. There is not enough cutlery or glasses. The fridge freezer doesn’t work properly. Some of the towels are stained. You can’t seem to be able to use the shower upstairs & down stairs at the same time resulting in someone getting a cold shower. We would like to commend the home owner on how quickly he got the wasp bike removed so we could enjoy the garden.
