In a peaceful location in the heart of Glencoe village, this detached holiday home has views across the fields to the surrounding mountains. Across the road from the house, there is access to the River Coe down a sloping bank, and it is a short walk to the shores of Loch Leven. This is an ideal base for touring the west coast and Highlands of Scotland, and the spectacular surrounding scenery has been used as the backdrop for many famous films including ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Rob Roy’ and ‘Braveheart’. Fort William is known as the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ and from here you can catch the Jacobite Steam Train, crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, or ride on the gondola up Aonach Mor for magnificent views.
Oban, a small harbour town, is the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ with regular ferries to the Inner Isles, including Mull and Iona. Cross to the islands on the Corran ferry to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point in Britain, or head for Mallaig to catch the Armadale ferry to the Isle of Skye. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are a variety of activities including cycling, kayaking, golf, horse riding and fishing. Glencoe and Fort William both have ski resorts and are also very popular areas for climbers and walkers. Wildlife is abundant and there are plenty of gentle forest walks, museums, distilleries, castles, gardens and monuments nearby. Glencoe village has a hotel with restaurant and bar, small shop, café, and museum. Shop and restaurant 400 yards, pub ½ mile.

Lovely low location surrounded by mountains and a little forest walk nearby. Fort Williams was good for shopping for food shop at Aldi Marks & Spencer‘s and home bargains.Oban was a nice seaside village to go to less than an hours drive
