Given that the price for Wildcat lodge was comparable with other lodges, this lodge is mediocre in comparison. Due to its location on the site it rarely receives any sunlight (although it is advertised as being south facing) and as such is damp inside. The advertised mountain view can not be seen from the large picture window. It’s proximity to the excellent Whitebridge hotel bar and restaurant and it’s general location, partially salvages this review.

I recommend it to everyone, but there was no parking next to the cottage.I was informed about this in advance.

Just fantastic! My only negative is that when we arrived there was no parking at the Wildcat and every other lodge have 2 cars outside so left no parking areas! One of the guests from the lodge opposite came and asked us if there was a problem and we said we have no parking area so they moved their cars over and we squeezed in. Maybe this should be made aware of when booking Wildcat Lodge
