The city of Glasgow, with galleries, museums, historical attractions, superb nightlife and fantastic shopping, is a short drive or you can easily catch a train, whilst Stirling and Edinburgh are also easily accessible. Shop 1 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We had a wonderful holiday at Thistlebank. The house was clean, warm, comfortable and was geographically convenient for everywhere we wanted to go. The cottage was extremely well equipped and the hosts were charming. The beds were very comfortable enabling us all to sleep well and spend much of our time enjoying walks nearby. I would definitely recommend this holiday cottage..

Beautiful property with gorgeous surroundings. Hosts were really nice people and so where all the local people we met on walks. Property has everything you may need and then some. Great location to easily get to loads of other areas including Falkirk Wheel, Glasgow (via train) and Edinburgh.

A very comfortable cottage with all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. A well appointed kitchen for meals in and a generous dining / living area. IN spite of the Scottish weather (it rained every day!) there is a lot in the area to see and do. (Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond, Stirling castle and a little further afield Scone Palace). Although we had no dogs with us, our canine friends are well catered for too, with their own exercise area outside the back door, and hard floors throughout the cottage.Mairi is a very charming and accommodating host and we could not have asked for a more delightful place to stay for a week.
