With a dining table tucked in the corner, you can gather around to share a meal and discuss what the rest of your holiday will bring, or maybe you've already decided to visit the Kingsbarns Distillery just 1.5 miles away. Head North to the university town of St Andrews, where so much history can be found within the museums, St Andrews Castle, and the historic churches, not to mention the possibility of spotting some seals from one of the many vantage points along your historic walk, or even visit the St Andrews Aquarium. Dubbed the 'Home of Golf', St Andrews hosts 7 golf courses and is Europe's largest public golf complex, so why not enjoy a round on one of these courses? Within reach of the popular city of Dundee too, where you can also visit the brand new V&A Museum, Hazel Cottage is a lovely choice for a stay in Scotland.

A charming fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife, Crail is a lovely place to visit for a break away from a busy life. There is history in the village with the Tollbooth tower dating from 1600, and old stone cottages lining the streets. The village has some shops, pubs and restaurants, including The Lobster Hut, where freshly caught seafood can be enjoyed. It it also host to the Crail Food Festival each year, the village comes alive with people and there is lots to entertain.
