This pleasant, terraced cottage lies in the traditional fishing village of St Monans in Fife, Scotland.

Use The Beacon as your homely base whilst you explore the wonderful attractions and activities that sit nearby. As you enter the property, to your right rests the comforting sitting room, lovingly finished with cosy couches, a warming fire and a TV to sit and watch when you're not out exploring the surrounding area of East Fife. Double doors bring you into the rustic kitchen/diner, graced with wooden fixtures and fittings and a dining table for four, neatly tucked into the corner of the room. The ground floor is also occupied by a cloakroom and a utility for your convenience, which leads towards the back garden. The carpeted staircase brings you to the glistening family shower room on a half landing, decorated in glossy white to give a feeling of class. Get your rest in one of the two comfortable bedrooms under the eaves on the first floor, both provide plenty of storage for your clothes and belongings. To the back of the house rests a delightful enclosed courtyard, where you can treat yourself to a refreshing drink or perhaps some alfresco dining. Through the back gate provides immediate access to St Monans common with public tennis court, football pitch and extensive playing area.

There is much going on in the area surrounding; St Monans offers a modest selection of amenities, along with an attractive marina and pier. From here you can visit 'the home of golf' at St. Andrews, the awe-inspiring Lomond Hills Regional Park and even the capital city of Edinburgh is within driving distance for a day of elite shopping. The Beacon is a splendid, well-positioned cottage to be enjoyed all-year-round.

The village has a pub, restaurant and a café. It also has a fish merchant and a fish smokehouse as well as views over the Firth of Forth. Along the coast is the village of Anstruther, home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Nearby, St Andrews is the home of golf. Further afield is Tentsmuir Forest National Nature Reserve, consisting of 50 square miles of dunes, heath, lochs, forest and wildlife. With Edinburgh 40 miles away, St Monans has something for everyone.
