Maisie Cottage is praised for its spaciousness, comfortable setting, and superb location close to the harbour. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the property's suitability for both couples and families. The private garden is a highlight for those with pets or children.
Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with several guests finding the cottage clean and well-prepared, while others report issues with general cleanliness, such as stained mugs and a grimy bath, which suggests room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the harbour, local shops, and the Fife coastal path, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore the area.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfy and the house warm. However, some guests mention the need for a second bathroom and the inconvenience of the bathroom being downstairs.
Facilities are adequate but several guests note maintenance issues such as non-working lights, hard towels, and a temperamental shower. The kitchen is well-received, but there's a consensus that the property could benefit from updates and redecoration.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Beds in second and third room have uncomfortable soft mattresses. Low back furniture difficult to relax in. Cobwebs in hall and stairs give the impression of very minimal cleaning. Large crack in ceiling was a bit off putting. Also cupboard for fuse box in living room inaccessible as door handle just came off in my hand. Shower was poor. Bins confusing as not the same colour as local council use. Realised on Monday bin lorry in street. Collecting blue bins ran down street in pj's only to find they were Collecting landfill waste whilst I had a blue bin with plastic. By time I went back for black bin with landfill lorry was gone.

Very affordable 3 bedroom cottage with a well stocked big kitchen full of a wide assortment of dishes, pots and pans etc. (great for cooking). Bigger than it looks with a large family bathroom. Yes, everything is 'well loved', it's not 'done up'-- this made us feel at home with a toddler and a dog! An ideal base for coastal walks, a day trip to St. Andrew's etc., and as mentioned, lots of cooking. Heating was on when we got up and all morning and then from late afternoon into the the evening. There were also two electric heaters. A very enjoyable weekend. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Barr!
