Inchkeith View is a well-received holiday rental in Edinburgh, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and stunning sea views. Guests appreciate the property's convenient location with easy access to public transport and local attractions. The thoughtful touches, such as tea, coffee, and biscuits, add to the welcoming atmosphere, although such gifts are not guaranteed. Despite some minor issues with maintenance and parking, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and very clean. One review mentioned a less clean communal entrance, but this did not detract from the high standards within the apartment itself.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful sea views and proximity to local eateries and attractions. The ease of public transport access is frequently mentioned, although one review noted the property is a bus ride away from the city centre.
Comfort is a highlight, with numerous reviews praising the comfortable beds, spacious and warm flat, and cosy atmosphere. Only one review mentioned an issue with temperature control, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
Facilities are generally well-received, with guests satisfied with the amenities provided. However, some reviews suggest room for improvement, such as the addition of hooks for coats and a comment about a problematic shower temperature, which affects the score.
While guests have mentioned appreciating the tea, coffee, and biscuits, as these gifts are not guaranteed and there is insufficient information on other thoughtful gestures, a score cannot be accurately provided.
We love the view towards Inchkeith Island over the water. We also love the attention to detail, the tasteful interior design and the standard of the overall finishings. All on the

The location of the property is just over two miles from Princes Street in the centre of town, around two and a half miles to the castle so for those who enjoy a walk, the architecture and sights you’ll stumble across, not to mention the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants will undoubtedly tempt you. There is a plethora of bars and restaurants within a 15-minute walk from the apartment. Around a mile and a half along the coast to the east, an eight minute direct bus, number 17, from outside the apartment, is the Port of Leith where the formal Royal Yacht is moored. Again this is an enjoyable walk where you get a sense of how life used to be in this part of town. There are numeroius bars and restaurants including a few Michelin Star eateries which can be found in this part of the city. There are buses outside the apartment which is a direct line to Edinburgh airport also buses into the city centre.
When the tide is out and if the weather suits then just across the road and to the west, only a few hundred yards is Wardie Bay, regarded as one of Edinburgh’s best secret beaches. It is small, however it is perfect for sitting enjoying the sun on a summer’s day, maybe enjoying some fish ’n’ chips or an ice cream. Whatever the reason for your trip, whatever your styles and tastes, whatever it is that you may be into then this fabulous city has something for all and this beautiful apartment is no doubt a superb place to base yourself.
