The dining chairs where broken and had outside chair pads in to cover the broken seats . The covers where dirty. Said no pets but I found a dog bowl under the kitchen cupboard. Went home early due to having a asthma attack with all the dust. It is in need of some tls. Shame because it would be lovely if it was cleaned properly and the light bulbs replaced. Dead spiders left in a glass vase with a candle in. The owner needs to check up on the staff who look after this cottage. Was left cleaner that when we arrived.

Fantastic place, oven takes a bit of discovering but once you master it it's great (find all three reset buttons) location and cleanliness spot on, love it and Porridge and Patch are super companions

My wife is disabled and can't manage steps. The ramp was useful but the sofas were too low to get up from. She had to sit in her wheelchair. We emailed suggesting simple things which would have helped for others with the same problem as we have, such as grab rails in the shower, and received a curt reply (not signed) saying, "we do not state we have disabled facilities....we do not imply that there is wheelchair access. At the back of the house there is a path which ascends to the back door. This design of path was present when the house was bought." Other suggestions were also ridiculed. It would be a great help if Sykes were to have a filter of available houses which identifies ones with ground floor bedrooms and step free access for disabled people.
