Gigha is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning sea views, peaceful location, and cosy atmosphere. Guests enjoy local walks, beaches, and fresh seafood. The Ship Inn is a favourite for its warm welcome and hearty meals. While the cottage's quaint charm is celebrated, some guests note the kitchen and fridge/freezer could be updated, and a lighter duvet option would be appreciated. The welcome pack, including wine, adds a thoughtful touch, though such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its beautiful sea views, proximity to beaches, and peaceful village setting, making it ideal for relaxation and sightseeing.
The cottage is repeatedly referred to as cosy and comfortable, with a few suggestions for improvements such as water pressure and bedding options.
While the cottage is generally well-equipped, some guests mention the kitchen is a bit dated and the fridge/freezer is too small for their needs.
The welcome pack is a delightful surprise for guests, though it's important to note that such gifts are kindly provided and may vary.

Situated in the Rhins of Galloway in the coastal village of Drummore, Scotland’s most southerly point, these holiday cottages stand on the shore of Luce Bay with its sand and shingle beaches just across the road. The well-equipped cottages offer stunning views across the expanse of Luce Bay with its white tipped waves and sea birds, beautiful in the summer, but equally spectacular for wave watching in winter. The area is unspoilt, the scenery idyllic, and the seascapes around the Rhins as dramatic as they are beautiful. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals and otters can all be seen in the area. Logan Botanical Gardens are a must during spring and summer with its beautiful displays of rare and native plants, as are the gardens at Castle Kennedy and Ardwell House. 5 miles north of Stranraer is Cairnryan, home to the Stena Line and P&O ferries which make regular trips to Ireland. A local, well stocked convenience store, café/seafood restaurant and 3 pubs are all within easy walking distance.

The cottage is pet friendly and we love having them stay, but please ensure you bring them beds, so they do not sleep on the furniture or the beds.

We absolutely loved the cottage especially the location the welcome pack was a great addition especially the wine 😀, there are great walks from the cottage. We were able to buy lobster straight from the fisherman's boat that came into the harbour as well , Also The Ship Inn in the village was fantastic, I can highly recommend it. Great food and portions were great , The only downside to the cottage however was the fridge/freezer it was for to small for our needs .other than that we had a great week , ☺️
