We had a lovely stay at Bengairn. It was very peaceful and having access to the woodland walk was great. The dogs enjoyed the large lawn, which was freshly cut. The weather was not perfect, but we were able to dodge the rain quite successfully. Finding the property was simple, aided by simple concise directions provided by the owners.We enjoyed watching the birds, although we never saw whoever filled the feeders! and the rabbits and the neighbouring farm’s cows coming to drink at the stream just the other side of the garden fence.One word of caution; if your dog is a jumper - the fence may not be high enough.

COMFORTABLE, CLEAN and COSYA very pleasant place to stay, with excellent facilities for self catering. Lovely views and close to the A7 for travelling further afield, and close to Kirkcudbright for shops.Definitely a good place to stay for exploring Dumfries and Galloway.
