Galloway Ice Cream is also close by and makes a good afternoon out with both ice cream and an large outdoor activity centre.

The local Twynholm and Kirkcudbright area has many attractions and things to do. The artists’ town of Kirkcudbright with its wealth of galleries, coffee shops, hotels and craft outlets is only 3 miles away. The food town of Castle Douglas is 8 miles away and the lovely town of Gatehouse of Fleet only 5 miles. Around the area there are countless opportunities for cycling, walking, horse riding, golfing, fishing and bird-watching as well as a wonderful choice of sandy, stony or rocky bays with their abundant wildlife and fauna.
