What a fantastic apartment, it was well equipped, comfortable and warm, with a superb view. We were greeted with a lovely welcome package and our host was so helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The temptation was to sit and watch the view, but we got out and about. Portpatrick was an hour and a half away, a lovely harbour town, Glenluce and Sweetheart Abbeys, Kirkcudbright, and Colvend tourist route to Caerlaverock Castle all worth a visit. Kippford itself is a quaint little village and had a shop and cafe open even in November. We would highly recommend Grey Rocks Apartment. It's a fabulous apartment, in a stunning location looking out to the river and surrounding hills. It was a holiday to remember. Thank you.

A newly equipped apartment with spectacular views over the estuary. Fantastic location within lovely & 'quaint' village with uninterrupted views as the property sits up on the incline from the main road. Modern and comfortable accommodation. Good for walks along the waterfront, star gazing from the balcony or listening to the owls sitting in the trees backing the house. Very welcoming host who can't do enough for you and nice personal touches on arrival. For a base to explore the lovely Solway coast I would highly recommend. Although the local pubs are not always open, especially out of season, there are other good eateries not far from the village, e.g. The Clonyard Hotel. Also, the local cafe/ice-cream parlour/mini shop is open until 7pm which is great.
