Snaptrip says

Guests have praised the Riverside lodge for its perfect setting, cleanliness, and peaceful environment rich in wildlife. The owners' attentiveness and extra efforts are highly appreciated, although some guests missed having Wi-Fi. The lodge's proximity to Castle Douglas and other local spots is noted as convenient, and the comfort and warmth of the lodge are commended. However, there are mixed feelings about changes to the property and additional costs for activities like fishing.

While the lodge is described as well-equipped, there is insufficient information on the overall state of facilities and maintenance to provide a definitive score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in gestures like a welcome box of chocolates and fresh flowers, though such gifts should be seen as a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

Too many changes to the cottage. Pods in field opposite now camp site. Need to pay for the fishing extra cost. Not what was expected.
