Sitting at the northern end of the mouth of Fleet Bay, the small Mossyard Beach, half a mile away, offers the opportunity to skim stones out to sea and many exciting rock pools to explore. The lively fishing port town of Kirkcudbright, with its fabulous marina popular with visiting sailors, can be reached within 12.5 miles.
