Stayed 5 nights first week of July. Lovely cottage with fantastic view of the river from the decking. Great walks to do locally and various places to visit within 45 mins drive. Village shop/Post Office 2 mins walk away which is well stocked. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everyone we met all said hello etc, and are really friendly. Overall a very nice property. Would highly recommend to anyone who fancies a nice quiet break away.

We wanted to try a new area for our wedding anniversary week, somewhere special - Prior Bank definitely hit the spot! Lovely property, clean & comfy everything you need home from home. The added bonus was the conservatory with an ever changing view of the river - it’s like being in a treehouse! Brilliant enclosed garden for our dog Sadie - on the road but not too busy. We visited Kielder forest & water, popped into Gretna and took further trips to the beach at Sandyhills - fabulous coastal walk - not suitable for those with mobility issues - very steep in places bits definitely worth the walk- the views are amazing! Brilliant communication with Mark we just had an issues locking the door on our last day but this was sorted as we were leaving We met Hazel who cleans prior bank - really lovely and good luck in your home !Definitely would stay again

A very nice holiday cottage set in a small village and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The local post office which is a few minutes walk sells all the basics, newspapers, milk bread, etc. etc. and depending on which way your car is facing you're either five miles from longtown or nine miles from Newcastleton, both of which have cafes, restaurants and shops for all needs. The views over the river Esk from the cottage are outstanding and the host Mark is very helpful.I recommend this cottage without hesitation.
