Guests say

Carnethy is a well-received cottage in Tighnabruaich, appreciated for its cleanliness, stunning location, and the thoughtful touches provided by the host. While guests enjoy the comfortable living space and the large garden, some have noted that certain facilities, particularly the shower, could benefit from improvement.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean, with multiple reviews affirming its tidiness. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.

The location is frequently praised for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions, including the Kames hotel, Tarbert ferry, and views across the water to Bute.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with comfy beds and a large garden. However, some guests have mentioned issues with the shower temperature affecting their comfort.

While the property is well-equipped and spacious, there are repeated mentions of a problematic shower and a non-functioning American fridge freezer, indicating that some facilities require attention.

Guests have expressed appreciation for the welcome pack, which includes treats and essentials. It's noted that such gestures add to the experience, though it's politely mentioned that these are not guaranteed.

Lovely house, comfy beds, big shared garden-not good for dogs to run loose-mine was on 8m leash. ,surrounded by bushes ,so mine dog would be able to escape. 2 fridge/freezers both working, American has a fault, but still freezing and cooling. Nice area, just far to bigger shops- about 1 hr of driving. Friendly Host.

This was our 3rd visit to this cottage. We had a really nice time, could not fault the cleanliness, most of the amenities were really good. The shower, however, was a disappointment, luke warm and not how I remember it at all. The big American fridge freezer didn’t seem to be working. There was another fridge freezer, but a note explaining would have been helpful. I’m glad the rotten decking has gone, much improved. Overall we had a lovely time, our main issue was the shower.
