This was our second stay at Shore Cottage, and it certainly won't be our last. It's a lovely, compact holiday home in a peaceful and secluded location, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything needed for a great stay. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful dog walks around the island, and our dogs absolutely loved swimming in the sea every day.One of the highlights of this visit was watching the red squirrels feeding in the garden. It was a real privilege to see them so close and added something special to our stay.If you're looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature and wildlife, Shore Cottage is hard to beat. We had another fantastic holiday and are already looking forward to returning.Wildlife warning - Watch out for the ticks and midges!

This was our second time staying at Shore cottage, and we plan on returning again next year. It is a wonderful place, surrounded by nature and wildlife and the perfect 'switch off' from the usual pace of life.

Exceptional stay. Shore cottage is in an amazing location, right on the shore of Loch Fyne. It was totally quiet and peaceful, and surrounded by nature: curlews, herons and oyster catchers on the shore; seals in the bay; and red squirrels and songbirds in the garden. Inside, the cottage was cosy, and well furnished and decorated – it had a lovely atmosphere, and it was so relaxing to have coffee or a glass of wine looking out on that wonderful view! Nearby Tarbert is a pretty harbour town with some great independent shops and a co-op. It's also easy to visit the Isle of Gigha for a day trip, and explore Kintyre and Knapdale. Excellent communication from hosts Nick and Heather. Overall a fantastic holiday, and we hope to be able to stay at Shore Cottage again!
