Hafton Castle has comfortable bedrooms each with their own en-suite shower room. The four poster room on the first floor has a large bathroom with bath and shower.
Hafton Castle is a magnificent historical building set in its own grounds located on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and nestling by the edge of Holy Loch. The Castle has a superb indoor heated swimming pool. (There is a rental charge of £500 for the use of the swimming pool. Any additional charges for the heating of the pool after arrival will depend on usage.)
This beautiful building has an indoor swimming pool, snooker room with table tennis and table football, library, dining room, large reception hall and a small drawing room which opens onto a larger drawing room with a bar area. The Vinery is a spacious conservatory leading to a large outdoor terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens, with views towards the loch. There is ample space for the 42 guests the castle can sleep in en-suite bedrooms.
The gardens have old trees, lawns and lovely views. Red deer can often be seen. There is a children's playground in the gardens and also a tennis court.
The Castle was built by James Hunter, and its architect was David Hamilton who also designed Dunoon Castle.
The 19 comfortable bedrooms are all with en-suite shower rooms, (the four poster room has a large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower).
There are beautiful features, the porte cochere, cupola, stunning ceilings, carved doors and a superb sweeping staircase.
The Castle is available for exclusive self-catering hire. It is a perfect venue for weddings, family holidays, reunions, corporate events, all sorts of gatherings including music schools. There are local caterers who can come and cater for special meals.
,Hafton Castle is ideally situated on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll. The surrounding area is very beautiful with wonderful scenery and it is very accessible from Glasgow Airport, in approximately 45 minutes. Most guests arrive via the car ferry operated by Western Ferries from Gourock to Hunter's Quay, its a very atmospheric start to a stay at Hafton Castle
