Shore House is situated 250 yards from Kilcreggan Pier, the last remaining original Victorian pier on the Rosneath Peninsula. Over 100 years old, today the pier operates with a foot passenger ferry only. The house sits peacefully in its own grounds and offers stunning views out onto the Clyde. Leading out from the patio doors there is a superb decking area where you can sit out and really appreciate the fresh air and waterside location. Local shops, a pub and café are only a few minutes walk away.
Situated close to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, and with easy access to Glasgow and Stirling, the cottage is in an ideal location to explore the area. If you enjoy outdoor activities, then you are spoilt for choice with walking, cycling, golf, fishing and water sports all available nearby, alongside the West Highland Way which passes nearby. Enjoy a cruise on Loch Lomond seeing the breath-taking scenery from the water and discover the islands for stately homes on the shore. For a day out for all the family, Loch Lomond’s shore is well worth a visit with designer shopping, great places to eat, outdoor activities, the Sea Life Aquarium and regular events throughout the year.
Head towards Dunoon and explore the beauty of Cowal and the surrounding area known as ’Argyll’s Secret Coast’, with its sparkling sea lochs, romantic ruins, ancient forests and stunning scenery. A number of public gardens are located in the area, such as Ardkinglas, Crarae and Benmore Botanic Gardens with its avenue of giant redwood trees.
For those a bit more adventurous, the ferry at Colintraive to Rhubodach takes only three minutes to cross the sea loch and arrive on the Isle of Bute. This has been a famous tourist destination over the years with many attractions such as Mount Stuart House and Gardens, as well as the Victorian seaside resort of Rothesay. Loch Fyne with its famous restaurant and oyster bar is not far away, as is Inveraray; both great for a day trip.

The house is very nice in a great location to explore from, with good local shops and pub with friendly staff and good food, We had arrived early and asked if we could park our car at the property,as we were going to the pub for some food, and return for 3pm entry. This was not a problem, and the owner contacted me with the number for the key box at 2 pm. The views from the house are amazing, and the ferry is really handy, we saw porpoise, seals & the Waverly. The weather was good so sitting in the garden with a glass of wine just watching the view was lovely. Having a table to eat at in the garden would be good (even a foldable one) as the one at the side is very low. My only faults were that the property smelled a bit stale, the gell and reed diffuser were no longer working & the living room needed hoovered (there were crumbs and a drips of wine on the floor) and although nice for the price of this property the furniture in the living room could be doing with an update, having covers on a couch is expected if taking a dog, but this property doesn't allow pets, If I was to return again in a year or so I would expect an update. The rest of the property was very clean and the bed was comfy. I would recommend to family & friends
