Through the large window front there is a beautiful view onto the holy Loch that is enjoyable even when raining. And Julia was very friendly and helpful.

On approaching the building the outside was very uncared for. Once getting into the communal area it was extremely dirty, freezing cold and smelt damp. On entering the flat itself it was absolutely freezing cold, the loo roll felt wet as it was that cold as did all the bedding and the whole flat smelt damp and musty. The rug in the living room was badly stained all over and the bedroom carpet was also stained. Otherwise the flat was clean and well equipped. On reading the information left by the owner the information for the Internet was incorrect. On contacting the owner we found her attitude to be unhelpful and not welcoming. I used my own initiative and placed the bedding in the tumble dryer to warm it. The bed however was very uncomfortable and we had to sleep on top of the duvet to make it bare able. When we opened the curtains the morning after arriving the view was lovely apart from the dirty windows, bird droppings and rusty poles. We could not get a proper supply of hot water the whole time we were there despite following the instructions left. I had a shower which turned freezing cold after a few minutes. The bathroom window was locked and as the bathroom was cold we were forever having to mop pools of condensation of the toilet cistern and floor. There was a lot of noise from upstairs and the communal area. Also people smoking outside the front entrance and speaking loudly on their phones. Also people from other flats had to walk past the window which didn't give much privacy. At the time of booking we were not aware that the property is mainly residential rather than holiday lets. If we had known this we wouldn't have booked. We tried to make the best of it but cut our holiday short due to not being able to fell comfortable and relaxed during our stay.

Had everything we needed. The information and communication we had with the owner was friendly and helpful. Would have appreciated a later check out than 9:00. Marked the Sykes rating at 9 because it was heavy on the rules and regulations.
