The detached property was built in one of the most the scenic locations in Cowal Peninsula, and is an ideal base for families, outdoor enthusiasts and keen walkers. Inside, Shelduck Cottage is bright and spacious and has been warmly decorated to create a welcoming home from home. The ground floor features a large living space, and an inviting sun room with double doors leading onto a deck area with views over the loch – perfect for an al fresco breakfast or an evening drink to soak up the setting. The living areas all enjoy stunning window views, and the accommodation is finished with and a cosy wood burner and central heating, perfect for all seasons. A well-equipped kitchen with a country flair enables you to cook up delicious meals and serve up over the lovely large dining table. For your convenience there is a utility room, a walk-in shower room and another outside door, serviced by a ramp for wheelchairs. All three bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom or shower room. There are two twin bedrooms downstairs, one of which can be converted to a double. On the first floor, the master double bedroom boasts stunning views down the loch and beyond, with spacious bathroom. There is a large landing with a sofa bed or it can be a quiet space for reading or enjoying the loch views. Outside, the manicured fenced garden is filled with roses and flowers in spring and summer.
This is an area of stunning natural beauty, with hills, glens, rugged coastlines, white beaches, clear waters and ancient forests. The whole area is steeped in Highland history and dotted with ruins, castles and ancient sites. Only 6 miles away you can discover the coastal village of Tighnabruaich with its will find local arts and crafts, cafés and welcoming pubs. There are short ferry trips nearby to the fishing village of Tarbert, or take a ferry to the Isle of Bute with its historic and grand Gothic house, Mount Stuart. Beach 20 yards.
